Meeting hours

The calculator uses the numbers you enter: meetings, minutes, and the limit. 12 times 45 over 60 plus 5 times 15 over 60 minus 8 is 2.3 hours above. Hours without meetings sit in the grid.

The calculator does not read the calendar and does not cancel meetings. Focus: focus time after interruptions.

Input data

Enter meetings, minutes, and the limit. You can leave hours without meetings blank.

Optional context

This field is optional. Hours without meetings appear in the grid beside meeting hours. A blank field skips that context and does not change the main result.

How it works

The calculator multiplies meetings by minutes and divides by 60, adds meetings without an agenda times extra minutes over 60, then subtracts the limit. 12 × 45 ÷ 60 = 9. 5 × 15 ÷ 60 = 1.25. 9 + 1.25 − 8 = 2.25, so 2.3 hours above. Hours without meetings sit in the grid.

The main result comes from meetings, minutes, meetings without an agenda, the extra minutes, and the limit. Hours without meetings are optional.

Second example: 6 times 30 over 60 plus 1 times 10 over 60 minus 5 is 1.8 hours below. Third: 20 times 50 over 60 plus 14 times 20 over 60 minus 10 is 11.3 hours above.

The calculator does not read the calendar and does not cancel meetings. A comma in 12.5 is read the same way as a period.

Formula

Result = meetings × minutes ÷ 60 + no-agenda × extra ÷ 60 − limit. At 12, 45, 5, 15 and 8: 9 + 1.25 − 8 = 2.25, so 2.3 hours above.

What these numbers mean

9 plus 1.25 minus 8 is 2.3 hours above.

meetings and minutes
Meetings times the minutes of one meeting, then over 60. In the first example 12 × 45 ÷ 60 = 9.
no agenda
Meetings without an agenda times extra minutes, then over 60. Here 5 × 15 ÷ 60 = 1.25.
limit and hours without meetings
The limit is the threshold you set. Hours without meetings are optional and do not change the main result.

How to use

  1. Enter 12 meetings.
  2. Add 45 minutes and 5 without an agenda, plus 15 extra minutes and a limit of 8.
  3. Click Calculate. The result is 2.3 hours above.
  4. Second example: 6, 30, 1, 10 and 5 is 1.8 hours below. Third: 20, 50, 14, 20 and 10 is 11.3 hours above.
  5. You can skip hours without meetings. When you fill them, they appear in the grid and do not change the main result.

Examples

Example 1

  • meetings 12
  • minutes 45
  • no agenda 5
  • extra 15 min
  • limit 8 h

2.3 hours above

12 × 45 ÷ 60 = 9. 5 × 15 ÷ 60 = 1.25. 9 + 1.25 − 8 = 2.3. Hours without meetings sit in the grid.

Example 2

  • meetings 6
  • minutes 30
  • no agenda 1
  • extra 10 min
  • limit 5 h

1.8 hours below

6 × 30 ÷ 60 = 3. 1 × 10 ÷ 60 = 0.2. 3 + 0.2 − 5 = −1.8.

Example 3

  • meetings 20
  • minutes 50
  • no agenda 14
  • extra 20 min
  • limit 10 h

11.3 hours above

20 × 50 ÷ 60 = 16.7. 14 × 20 ÷ 60 = 4.7. 16.7 + 4.7 − 10 = 11.3.
