Annual equivalent cost

Type a cost and years. 12000 / 3 years gives 4000,00 zł. 24000 / 4 years gives 6000,00 zł. 9000 / 2 years gives 4500,00 zł. A quotient, not NPV.

Not an annuity and not a present value. The calculator divides cost by years when years are greater than zero. A yearly write-off from a percent lives on fixed asset depreciation.

How it works

Annual equivalent cost in this calculator is cost over years when years are greater than zero. 12000 / 3 = 4000. The result is 4000,00 zł. 24000 / 4 gives 6000,00 zł. 9000 / 2 gives 4500,00 zł.

The cost field is a one-off amount. The years field is the divisor. Empty or zero years leave the result at 0,00 zł. There is no dash in place of zero. The code does not use a discount rate.

This is not NPV and not an annuity. 12000 over 3 years stays 4000,00 zł with no percent and no payment table. That formula is not here.

Fixed asset depreciation next door multiplies a value by a yearly rate. Property tax multiplies a value. Here only the quotient. 4 years at 24000 leaves 6000,00 zł.

Type 12000 and 3, then Calculate. A comma in 3.5 parses. A division sketch, not a valuation and not a schedule.

12000 / 3 years gives 4000,00 zł. 24000 / 4 years gives 6000,00 zł. 9000 / 2 years gives 4500,00 zł. Another year count at the same cost gives another result.

Formula

annual = years > 0 ? cost / years : 0

How to use

  1. Type the one-off cost, for example 12000.
  2. Type years, for example 3.
  3. Click Calculate. The result is 4000,00 zł.
  4. 24000 and 4 give 6000,00 zł. 9000 and 2 give 4500,00 zł.
  5. Zero years leave 0,00 zł. This is not NPV and not an annuity.

12000 / 3 years = 4000,00 zł

Annual = cost / years when years are greater than zero. 12000 over 3 years gives 4000,00 zł. This is not NPV.
