Unfinished household jobs

The calculator uses the numbers you enter: list hours and hours in the month. 6 versus 8 is finishing this month. Jobs and urgent ones sit in the grid.

The calculator does not take a contractor price list and does not inspect the building. Household admin: household admin hours.

Input data

Enter list hours and hours in the month. You can leave people and the crew rate blank.

Optional context

These two fields are optional. The people count shows how many months the list takes when several people each give the same hours. The crew hourly rate shows the cost of hiring out the list or the hours that will not finish this month. A blank field skips that context and does not change the main result.

How it works

The calculator divides list hours by hours in the month. When that is ≤ 1, the list fits this month. 6 versus 8 is finishing this month.

The main result comes from list hours and hours in the month. Jobs, waits over a month, and urgent jobs sit in the grid.

Second example: 24 over 4 is 6 months. Third: 80 over 1 is 80 months.

The calculator does not take a contractor price list and does not inspect the building. A comma in 12.5 is read the same way as a period.

Formula

Result = list hours ÷ hours in the month. When that is ≤ 1, the result is finishing this month. At 6 and 8: 6 ÷ 8 ≤ 1, so finishing this month.
