Example 1
- Date A: 1988-08-08
- Date B: 1992-04-12
92 · Same element
Leo and Aries: both Fire.
From two dates you take two tropical sun signs and compare their elements. Birth time does not enter.
Here you compare the elements of two sun signs. This tool is for entertainment and learning, not fortune-telling or relationship advice. It does not replace personal, medical or financial decisions. Also try the zodiac element and numerology compatibility.
Pick both dates to see zodiac compatibility.
Zodiac compatibility here is based on the elements of two sun signs. First we resolve each date to a tropical sign, then assign Fire, Earth, Air or Water.
The same element scores highest (92). Complementary pairs are Fire+Air and Earth+Water (84). Other combinations score lower (58) with a compromise label.
Example: 8 August 1988 (Leo, Fire) paired with another Fire sign → same element. Leo + Gemini (Air) → complementary elements.
This is not full synastry. We do not compute rising sign, Moon, Venus or planetary aspects. Only the sun sign from the calendar date and its element.
Sign boundaries are sometimes debated (especially cusp days). We use one explicit range table so the result is reproducible.
The band describes elements, not relationship quality. People with “harder” elements can build great bonds; the same element does not guarantee harmony.
For contrast, try life-path compatibility or the single-date zodiac element tool.
A blank “Birth date A” is an error, not zero. A typed zero can be a real value, but an empty field does not calculate. Commas and dots both parse.
If you wanted a different quantity than zodiac compatibility, open zodiac element. This page stays on one question so the result card matches the formula label.
The metric/US switch relabels empty fields. It does not multiply a number you already typed. Mixing units in one box makes the result wrong no matter the formula.
The card usually shows two decimal places. That is display rounding, not a code and not a supplier rule. A blank field does not fake a zero.
Zodiac compatibility only uses what you type in the form. It does not talk to a store, a bank, or a gradebook. A refresh clears the fields.
signA / signB from date (tropical table) → elementA / elementB.
score: same element = 92; Fire↔Air or Earth↔Water = 84; otherwise = 58.

A comparison of the elements of two sun signs from birth dates. We do not compute a full synastry chart.
The same element, plus Fire+Air and Earth+Water. Other combinations get the lower compromise score.
No. We use only the calendar date for the sun sign. Rising sign would need time and place.
We use one range table. The result is reproducible, but schools may differ by a day on the edge.
