How results are calculated

Base = 400 + capacity × 1.2 + age surcharge. Premium = base × region (0.9 / 1.0 / 1.2). 1600 × 1.2 = 1920, plus 400 is 2320, age 30 has no surcharge, region 1.0 leaves 2320. 2000 cc, age 22 and region 1.2: base 2800 + 300 = 3100, times 1.2 = 3720.

1400 cc, age 70 and region 0.9: 1680 + 400 + 150 = 2230, times 0.9 = 2007. The age field is driver age, not model year. Under 26 adds 300, over 65 adds 150, between those marks adds zero.

Fields are capacity in cc, driver age in years, and the region list. Header currency only formats the result. The km/mile switch does not change cubic centimeters. A comma in capacity is unused: 1600 is sixteen hundred.

Paste the premium as one yearly line on annual running cost. TCO will add purchase and value loss. There are no no-claims discounts, loss history, or comprehensive deductibles here.

Blank capacity does not fill 1600 from the example. Typed zero cc leaves a 400 base plus age, then times region. A minus is rejected. The result is a sketch from three inputs, not a carrier calculation.
