Yearly cost of unused subscriptions

The calculator uses the numbers you enter: the number of active plans, the monthly cost, the unused count, and yearly bills not spread in the budget. 145 across 11 plans, 4 unused, and 3 bills of 120 is 992.73 this year. Hours of use are optional and do not change the main result.

The calculator does not cancel plans and does not connect to a bank. Unused cost assumes an even split of the monthly total. Named rows: unused subscriptions calculator.

Input data

Enter the plan count, the monthly cost, the unused count, and the yearly bills. You can skip hours.

Optional context

This field is optional. Hours of actual use appear in the grid beside the unused cost. A blank field skips that context and does not change the main result.

How it works

The calculator divides the monthly cost by the plan count and multiplies by the unused count. 145 across 11 plans with 4 unused is 52.73 a month. It then adds yearly bills times the amount of one bill, divided by 12: 3 times 120 is 30 a month. 82.73 times 12 is 992.73 this year.

The main result comes from the plan count, the monthly cost, the unused count, and the yearly bills. Used-plan cost and the mean unused plan sit in the grid. Hours of use are optional and do not change the main result.

Second example: 80 across 6 plans, 1 unused, and 1 bill of 60 is 220. Third: 260 across 18 plans, 10 unused, and 6 bills of 200 is 2933.33.

The calculator does not cancel plans and does not connect to a bank. Unused cost assumes an even split of the monthly total. A comma in 12.5 is read the same way as a period.

Formula

Result = ((cost ÷ plans) × unused + bills × amount ÷ 12) × 12. At 145, 11, 4, 3 and 120: (52.73 + 30) × 12 = 992.73. Hours are optional.
