How it works

Log storage in this calculator multiplies an entry by count and days. 200 B, 100000, compression 100 and 7 days give 133,51 MB (Szac. w okresie (7 dni)). 500 B, 100000, 20 and 30 give 286,10 MB (Szac. w okresie (30 dni)). 50 B, 10000, 100 and 1 give 0,48 MB (Szac. w okresie (1 dni)). This is not live logs.

Fields: log-size, log-count, log-compression-pct, log-retention-days. Daily = (B × count) / 1024² × (compression/100). Then times days. 100 means 100% of bytes remain. 20 means 20% remain. No replicas and no indexes.

133,51 MB does not come from Elasticsearch. 286,10 MB is not a Loki volume. 0,48 MB is not a file from logrotate. You type four numbers. The calculator does not read /var/log.

Cloud storage cost next door multiplies GB by a price. Compression ratio divides before by after. Here 200 B and 7 days stay 133,51 MB, the estimate alone.
