How it works

Glycaemic load in this calculator is GI times carbohydrate grams, over 100. 72 × 40 / 100 = 28.8. The calculator writes 28.8 with one decimal place. 55 × 30 / 100 = 16.5. 40 × 25 / 100 = 10.0. GI alone is not enough.

Fibre subtracts only on the net row: netCarbs = max(0, carbohydrates − fibre), then the same product. Empty fibre or 0 hides that row. 28.8 stays 28.8.

Low / medium / high uses 10 and 19. 10.0 is low (GL ≤ 10). 16.5 is medium. 28.8 is high. Those cuts sit in the script, not in a doctor note.
