How it works
The calculator splits the wheel into as many equal slices as there are non-empty lines. One Yes line gives Yes, because the chance is 100%.
Two non-empty lines give each a 50% chance. Empty lines do not count, so a lone Tea among blank rows also gives Tea.
The same name twice is two slices. That name chance rises to 2/n.
Ready-made lists only fill the field. You can edit them. The chance is still 1/n for each non-empty line.
Remove-the-line deletes the drawn line after a spin. The next spin draws from what remains. Each remaining line still has chance 1/n.
Shuffle only changes the order on the wheel. It does not change the chance.
This is not a game show, not a puzzle, and not a TV prize wheel. The next click draws again.
Numbers from 1–6 are on the random-number generator. Here you draw text that you entered. The 1-to-6 button inserts those digits as lines.
Formula
line chance = 1 / number of non-empty lines
Empty lines are not included in n. The draw is uniform. With remove-the-line, n falls by 1 after each spin.
How to use
- Enter Yes on the first line and keep the rest empty. Or pick the Yes / No list.
- Spin. With only Yes on the list, the result is Yes.
- Add No on the second line and spin again. The result is Yes or No, 50% each.
- If you turn on remove-the-line, the drawn line leaves the list. The next spin draws from what remains.
