How it works
The soul urge (heart’s desire) uses only the vowels in a name. In this model the vowels are A, E, I, O, U and Y.
Each vowel gets a Pythagorean value (A=1, E=5, I=9, O=6, U=3, Y=7). We sum them and reduce to 1-9 or to a master number 11, 22 or 33.
Example: MARIA → vowels A, I, A → 1+9+1 = 11 (master). ANNA → A, A → 1+1 = 2. JOHN → only O → 6.
If a string has no vowels (rare, but possible with odd abbreviations), there is nothing to reduce. Use a fuller spelling.
Popular readings treat soul urge as inner motives before the public face appears. Personality is the consonant side of that split.
Soul and personality are reduced separately. Their raw sums often relate to the full-letter destiny total, but we do not force them to match a single shortcut.
