Calendar age is worked out the way you subtract a date on paper, not by dividing the number of days by 365. The calculator subtracts the birth year, month, and day from the day you want the age for. That day is the date on this device, or the day in Age on date. If that day of the month has not come yet, the calculator takes the missing days from the previous month. When that month is too short, the calculator takes the missing days from the month before that. If the birth month has not come yet this year, that year is not counted yet. January 1, 2000 on August 17, 2026 is 26 years, 7 months, and 16 days. January 31, 2023 on March 1, 2023 is 0 years, 0 months, and 29 days, because February 2023 has 28 days.
February has 29 days in a leap year and 28 in other years. When someone was born on February 29 and the chosen year has no such day, the next birthday falls on March 1. In a February with only 28 days, someone born on February 29, 2020 and someone born on March 1, 2020 can have the same number of years and a different number of days. The days in the Calendar age result are what is left after the years and months, not the day total.
The day total is the number of calendar days from birth to the day you want the age for. The hour is not included. A March or November clock change does not add or drop a day. May 15 is May 15, whatever time zone the person was born in.
When Age on date is empty, the calculator takes only the year, month, and day from the device clock. If you enter a day, the calculator counts age on that date, including a future date. A date of birth later than that day does not produce a negative age. The calculator asks you to correct the field. If you do not pick a date of birth, the calculator will not invent one.
The calculator uses the date of birth the way a passport does: day, month, and year. The metric or US switch does not convert years, because years are not miles.

Does a spring or fall clock change move the result?

Is this Korean age with plus one at birth?
