Throughput (MB/s)

Type IOPS and KB. 5000 and 8 give 39.06 MB/s. 1000 and 4 give 3.91. 20000 and 16 give 312.5. IOPS times block / 1024, not fio.

(IOPS × KB) / 1024. Not a live benchmark. IOPS from ms sits on IOPS.

How it works

Throughput (MB/s) in this calculator multiplies IOPS by a block. 5000 and 8 KB give Przepustowość: 39.06 MB/s. 1000 and 4 give Przepustowość: 3.91 MB/s. 20000 and 16 give Przepustowość: 312.5 MB/s. Formula: (IOPS × KB) / 1024. This is not fio.

Field throughput-mb-a is IOPS. Field throughput-mb-b is KB per IO. 5000 × 8 / 1024 = 39.0625, shown as 39.06. 1000 × 4 / 1024 = 3.90625, which is 3.91. 20000 × 16 / 1024 = 312.5.

39.06 does not come from fio. 3.91 is not iostat. 312.5 does not know queueing. You type two numbers. The calculator does not probe a disk.

IOPS next door estimates operations from ms. Queue depth counts IOPS from QD. Here 5000 and 8 stay 39.06 MB/s, the block product alone.

Type 5000 and 8, then Calculate. The result is Przepustowość: 39.06 MB/s. A comma in 8,5 works. Zero IOPS leaves 0. This is not a live disk.

5000 and 8 give 39.06. 1000 and 4 give 3.91. 20000 and 16 give 312.5. Another block at 5000 changes 39.06.

Formula

MB/s = (IOPS × KB/IO) / 1024. IOPS times a block, not fio.

How to use

  1. Type 5000 IOPS and 8 KB.
  2. Click Calculate. The result is Przepustowość: 39.06 MB/s.
  3. 1000 and 4 give 3.91. 20000 and 16 give 312.5.
  4. IOPS times a block, not fio.
  5. IOPS from ms sits on IOPS.

5000 IOPS and 8 KB = 39.06 MB/s

IOPS × KB / 1024. 5000 and 8 give 39.06. This is not fio.

Common questions

How many MB/s at 5000 IOPS and 8 KB?

Przepustowość: 39.06 MB/s. 5000 × 8 / 1024. Not fio.

What about 1000 and 4 KB?

Przepustowość: 3.91 MB/s.

What about 20000 and 16 KB?

Przepustowość: 312.5 MB/s.

Is this a live disk benchmark?

No. Two fields. The calculator does not call fio and does not read iostat.

Does 8 KB go through 1000?

No. The formula divides by 1024. 5000 × 8 / 1024 = 39.06.

Does a comma in 8,5 work?

Yes. Another block at 5000 changes 39.06.

Is 39.06 sequential read?

No. IOPS times KB. No access pattern.

Where do I time IOPS from ms?

On IOPS. Here 39.06 from 5000 and 8 stays.

Does zero IOPS count?

Yes as 0 MB/s. Blank IOPS is a number error, not a live disk.
